A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

Personally I'm always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.

When I am abroad I always make it a rule never to criticise or attack the government of my own country.  I make up for lost time when I come home.

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.

For myself I am an optimist, it does not seem much use being anything else.

One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. You will only double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half.

It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time.
